Ally

Recently, I had the honor of capturing the Taylor sisters. They are such lovely girls & you can see the bond they share. Ally turned 18 on January 25th she is a senior in high school. Unfortunately, Ally is sick.
I’ve known the Taylor family for many years. I first met Lizzie (Ally’s Older sister) when her & my son went to middle school together, Lizzie and John met and became fast friends. They are still best friends today. While Ally and her sister were at my house I’ve gotten to know them very well. I always thought they were sweet and respectful young girls with bright futures ahead of them.

Then on November 29th, Ally knew something was terribly wrong. She could not move her legs. Ally was rushed to the hospital & was admitted so the doctors could run some tests to find out was wrong with her. On December 4th, after extensive testing she got the horrible news…. she was diagnosed with Cancer ….it is in her brain, neck & spine. This form of cancer is known as Primitive Neuro Epithial Tissue (P.N.E.T.) it is very rare. As far as the doctors know, she is the only one in the world with this type of cancer

When I walked into her room at Children’s hospital, I prayed to hold it together (I did). I went in & said “Hey Beautiful!” (Hugging her) Her response was “Hi, I missed you!” ….I’ve missed her too! Alley is one of the sweetest girls I know. With all she has been through and all she has to yet endure I was blown away by her positive attitude. Still the sweet girl I’ve always known, now I can see her strength and perseverance as she continues receive treatments to fight this, and endure the intense pain that her tumors cause. Watching her Mom go through this nightmare, holding it together for the Ally’s sake….and holding out hope beyond hope for her daughter, my heart broke.

Ally is such a bright light please join me in saying a prayer for Ally…to lend her our strength in her fight...for her future and for her loving family and all that they endure to walk beside her through this.
