feeling honored..

I did some head shots for an aspiring actress back in December. I have to say, it was easy to photograph Mel. She is a beautiful gal & she knows how rock the camera.  She has been blogging her experience with acting, You can see it here.

The "A" Family {Lifestyle Photographer}

What a fun group of gals to capture! I have known this family for quite some time & they are such fun & sweet gals! I had the pleasure of capturing them at their local park by their house. We were laughing & just being silly :) Not to mention, it was a damp day but perfect light for capturing them ♥

Why I started Photography & Design....

Photography & Graphic design is something I always love to do..I have for a very long time. I love being creative! When I was little, I use to take pictures with a little point & shoot camera & being so proud that I took the pictures. (lol) When I was little, I loved to draw....so much that my parents bought me a sketch pad & coloring pencils. My Mommom use to save the drawing contest articles in the Sunday paper for me so I could try & draw sketch for that week. I would show her my drawing & she would be so proud. She admired my art. My dad was an artist (hobby)..his drawings were amazing....then my brother inherited the gift. Seriously, some real good talent they both have! I was fortunate enough to inherit some that creative talent!! hehe

It it is amazing how things are now...if you want to try & create something, why not do it in photoshop or illustrator?! I am addicted to photoshop..I love the freedom of just designing & putting elements together to customizing a template! 

For the last two years, I would design cards, albums & such for clients, family & myself. Sometimes, I use other templates I had purchased from other designers where you basically drop the photo in & add your own text, but I mainly would design my own. Why not? It became second nature to me & I have become pretty savvy in photoshop. So with that said, I started designing templates & logos for photographers & small businesses. I started my design shop a while back & finally launched it a few weeks ago. I am so glad I did!

I am learning my graphics tablet & illustrator....It is a learning curve, but I keep doing it until I master it! I recently just purchased the book on how to use Illustrator..so I am excited to learn it.

The best thing with this journey is that my girls' are very creative too & are always taking pictures (with my big camera..lol), drawing, painting...& they want to learn how to edit photos!! For real??? They are only 10 years old & they want to learn photoshop! haha...I would be be honored to  teach my lil' beauties! I love that they want to take after me.......that's my girlies :) I really think some of this creativity will be in a future jobs for them...I hope anyway!

I know I am behind on my blog post....but here is why!

I know I have been behind on blogging but I have been super busy with work!! I mean alot of work!! lol

I have been working on getting a design site going & it's starting to finally come along...FINALLY!

It's called  Oh That's Fun! Designs

~The story behind my name is that I have a tendency to say "Oh that's fun!" when I like or adore something! Believe or not I say it quite abit :) hehe

Between my family, day job, photo sessions & launching a new design shop, it has been keeping me on my toes :)
I am so excited for this new adventure. I have been wanting to do for sometime now & it is finally starting to come together. My husband has been so supportive & helping me keep everything together, I could not of done it with out him (Thank you Baby, I love you!)

I will continue to do photography (my love) & design custom templates for photographers & small businesses.

My design work will include Branding/Identity, Logos, Cards, CD Cases & Labels.

Brotherly Love

I just love these two..I have known the family for a little over 7 years & they have become a part of my family.  I had the honor of capturing these two little guys! Mom & Dad needed an updatedphoto for their Christmas cards & asked me to capture them...how could I say no to them; of course I would love to capture these two lil' cuties! You really could just eat them up..I know I could :) hehe
